A successful college and high school coach noted for his success running a spread offense has agreed to join Auburn’s staff according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Lindsey has been a successful high school and college coach.
Lindsey led Spain Park to its first-ever Region championship last season behind senior quarterback Nick Mullens, who completed 290-of-452 passes (64 percent) for 3,649 yards and 40 touchdowns with eight interceptions.
Lindsey was the quarterbacks coach at Troy University in 2010 and was the head coach at Lassiter High School in Marietta, Ga., from 2008-09 where he coached former Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen.

Under Lindsey at Troy in 2010, quarterback Corey Robinson was named Sunbelt Conference Freshman of the Year after completing 321-of-505 passes for 3,726 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Lindsey has served as offensive coordinator at Hoover (Ala.) High in 2007, head coach at Colbert Heights in Tuscombia, Ala., from 2005-06 and offensive coordinator at Florence (Ala.) High in 2004.
Lindsey lettered in football at North Alabama in 1992, He received a bachelors from Alabama in 1997. Lindsey is married with four children.
