Rewind: Tuesday decision

TUESDAY DECISION FOR 4-STAR D-TACKLE: 4-star defensive tackle Toby Johnson from Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College went on his fifth and final official visit to Mississippi State this weekend. Johnson said he will announce a decision Tuesday between Auburn, Mississippi State, Georgia and Oklahoma. He’s expected to choose the Tigers or Bulldogs.

Johnson will announce a decision Tuesday.

"Everyone is still equal and it is still the same," Johnson told 247Sports. "I just have to find the right fit for me and I feel I can step in at any program and have an impact. But I will let everybody know on Tuesday at 2 p.m. (CT). I will probably put it on Twitter and just let everybody know at the same time."

ANOTHER OFFER FOR OPELIKA TE: Tight end Jakell Mitchell from Opelika (Ala.) High picked up an offer from Florida Saturday after visiting for Junior Day. He’s up to seven offers now including Auburn, Florida, North Carolina and Wisconsin. He plans to attend Auburn’s Junior Day Feb. 23.

“It was great, it was a good experience and I had a lot of fun,” MItchell told 247Sports.

FOUR BIG OFFERS FOR 4-STAR CORNER: 4-star cornerback Kalvaraz Bessent from Camden County in Kingsland, Ga., has picked up four big offers this month from Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia. Two of his teammates signed with Georgia in February while another signed with Florida.

“I’ll try to make a decision sometime during the summer, but some time before the football season,” Bessent told 247Sports.

Thornton will attend Auburn's Junior Day.

GATORS LEAD FOR MOBILE 4-STAR: 4-star defensive end Justin Thornton from Vigor in Mobile, Ala., has Florida at the top of his list following a visit to the Gators’ Junior Day. Thornton plans to attend Auburn’s Junior Day this Saturday. He plans to hold off on a decision until August.

“Florida is my favorite,” Thornton told 247Sports. “For one, they’ve been my school since I was four years old and to get an offer from them and to hear I’m the number-one guy that they want is really an honor.”

IN-STATE RB PICKS FLORIDA STATE: Running back Kamryn Pettway from Prattville (Ala.) High committed to Florida State Saturday after attending the Seminoles Junior Day. Pettway also had an offer from South Alabama and interest from a number of top schools including Auburn. He visited Auburn Feb. 3.

“They were my first offer and I feel like this is going to be a good spot for me,” Pettway told 247Sports.
