Rewind: Tigers in Top 5

TOP FIVE FOR 4-STAR 2014 RUNNING BACK: 4-star 2014 running back Racean Thomas from Oxford (Ala.) High has wrapped up summer visits to several schools including Auburn and has five teams at the top of his list.

Thomas camped at Auburn in June.

“My top group, not in order, would be LSU, Bama, Tennessee, and Auburn. I’d throw Clemson in there too,” Thomas told 247Sports.

BERRY TWINS VISIT TENNESSEE: Both their father and older brother played at Tennessee and they recently visited the Vols, but 2014 twin athletes Evan Berry and Elliott Berry remain open to other schools including Auburn.

“I mean, I’ll give every school a fair chance. I’m basically open right now,” Evan told 247Sports. “Can’t really say where I’m going to go, what school I’m leaning to. I’m open.”

5-STAR VS. 5-STAR IN IRON BOWL PREVIEW: Both 5-star linebacker Reuben Foster from Auburn (Ala.) HIgh, an Auburn commit, and 5-star tight end O.J. Howard from Autauga Academy in Prattville, Ala., an Alabama commit, are scheduled to play in the Gridiron Kings 7-on-7 tournament in Orlando, Fla., this weekend. Howard, who is friends with Foster, wasn’t surprised when he flipped from the Tide to the Tigers.

“You could kind of see it coming a little bit when Reuben moved there,” Howard told 247Sports. “It makes it more fun and the rivalry sweeter when you get to play against your good friend and go out and compete. I wish him the best of luck, but also wish we could have kept him since he’s a great player.”
