On Monday morning, 247Sports introduced a new industry standard for ranking recruits called the 247Composite.
Foster is nation's No. 2 overall prospect.
The 247Composite takes the rankings from the major media recruiting sites and runs them through a complex algorithm using a Gaussian distribution formula to create a comprehensive ranking that helps to eliminate any individual biases in the ranking process.
In addition, it also allows literally thousands of prospects to be ranked, something that sets 247Sports far ahead of any other network covering recruiting. Here is how Auburn’s 2013 recruiting class stacks up nationally in the new 247Composite.
The Tigers check in at No. 8 in the 247Sports team rankings, which now use the 247Composite to rank classes. Auburn trails No. 3 Alabama and No. 4 Florida, and is ahead of No. 9 Georgia and No. 10 LSU.
