Last weekend was a busy one for offensive lineman Richy Klepal from Plant in Tampa, Fla. After spending four hours at Florida State’s Junior Day, he drove up to Auburn for the rest of the weekend.
“The Auburn visit went great. Amazing facilities. Great coaching staff. Some of the nicest coaches I’ve ever met,” Klepal said.
“I was just really, really overall impressed with everything. I got an overall impression of the coaching staff, and that really more than anything impressed me the most, how they project a family atmosphere.”
One of the highlights of his visit was an hour meeting with Auburn offensive line coach Jeff Grimes.
“We talked about his overall philosophy and a little bit about what he does with the program,” Klepal said. “One of the things he said that really attracted me is that it’s really a family in a sense that if any of his players needs anything, you can call him or his wife if you’re sick or anything.
“That’s important to me because at my high school we have a really big family atmosphere as well. Wherever I go, that’s definitely what I’m looking for.”
Klepal, 6-foot-5 and 283 pounds, is up to 10 offers including Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Missouri, North Carolina, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, South Florida and Central Florida. He hopes to have a decision after this spring.
Klepal also had a great visit to Florida State, which you can read about HERE.
