after salting away an overmatched homecoming opponent, Auburn will have two ancient foes to face in order to punch their ticket to Atlanta (and possibly beyond)
For an Auburn supporter, there is nothing quite like the last two weeks of the football season when uga and uat roll around.
uga currently has a four game win streak against our beloved Tigers and uat is the defending MNC who has not lost at home since Auburn defeated them in 2007.
Going to be quite an experience.........................
I shall end with a passage from Ol Leatherhead himself, GHS52:
I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Village home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone.
We shall go on to the end, we shall fight the pachyderms, we shall fight in the swamp and between the hedges, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Village, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight in the backfield, we shall fight on the line of scrimmage, we shall fight in the flat and on the sidelines, we shall fight in the end zones; we shall never surrender.
The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us. If we can stand up to him, all of the western division may be freed and the life of the conference may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves, that if our Village and its clock tower last for a thousand years, men will still say, "This was their finest hour."
Success is not finale, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.
