That picture is from the 1959 Auburn-Georgia game in Athens, the first time in years for the game to leave Columbus.

The next year, 1960, the game would be played in Auburn, and has been home-and-home for 50 years now.

The two players shown not only had the shortest names (6 letters) on their teams, they also played key roles in deciding the 1959 and 1960 games. In 1959, with Auburn leading 13-7 late in the game, Pat Dye recovered an Auburn fumble. That led directly to a Fran Tarkenton TD pass which won the game and the SEC title for Georgia.

In the 1960 game at Auburn, there were no TDs. UGA kicked two FGs, but Ed Dyas kicked three for the Auburn win, 9-6.
