  • I wanted your insiders opinion on this guy. He was committed to USC for awhile and ballooned up to 365 lbs and he signed with you guys last year. I think he redshirted this year but was academically ineligible for bowl game from what I hear. Is he coming back or asked to look for greener pastures to make room for someone in decent shape?

I don't think the issue of being bowl eligible would have come up due to an academic problem because he was redshirted this year. Coaches would not put a player in a bowl game with a redshirt except if their team were in dire straits. He would lose his redshirt for the whole year. That was not the case this year for Auburn in the least.

  • Of course not.no one is going to burn a rs year for one game. The question was with him being so fat and academic problems is he expected to ever play? Will he provide depth or basically cut from the team? Last year auburn fans thought they had a steal when he was dropped from USC and then he showed up WAY out of shape. I was curious if he still had a shot to start?

  • He is still here and working hard to start next year, yes, he's lost weight also. Take your lamecock whining back to SC. WDE

  • As always, very mature response. There is nothing to whine about. I asked a question, why be a jerk about it. Your initials at the end are really impressive.

  • By losing 4 of our starting 5 OL after this year, I would think he has a pretty good chance to start. He has an edge over our incoming O-line class since he has been learning the system over the past year. I would say he's one of the most likely to earn a starting position next season. Shon Coleman, who overcame a bout of cancer last year will probably not be playing this season as he still has to get back into physical shape. Either way, starting spots are wide open for the line.
