- In this installment we take a look at the receiver position, delve into the real story of the Philon commitment, find out where some former Auburn commits are now, and get to the bottom of the Shanks controversy.

Bend it Like (Green-) Beckham

- 5-star Wide Receiver Dorial Green-Beckham (Springfield, Missouri Hillcrest) recently visited Auburn. A consensus top 2 prospect in the 2012 recruiting class, Green-Beckham's trip to the plains left many Auburn fans with visions of their very own Julio dancing in their heads. This dream is of the pipe variety, however, as DGB's interest in Auburn is not nearly as serious as has been indicated. The Missouri native will more than likely stay close to home, at Missouri or Oklahoma (or go to Bama, to fill Julio's sui..I mean shoes).

Golden Raid!

- Auburn's pursuit of top receivers in the 2012 class up to this point has yielded "commitments" from a couple of 4-stars in Ricardo Louis (Miami Beach, FL Miami Beach) and Jaquay Williams (Tyrone, GA Sandy Creek), as well as "interest" from top recruits like Green- Beckham , 5-star Stephon Diggs (Olney, MD Our Lady of Good Council) and 4-star DeAndre Jasper (Miami, FL Jackson).All of this early success (read: delusion) has Auburn fans thinking that the Tigers might actually piece together a decent class at WR. Expect Miami coach Al Golden to take a large dump on these plans, however. I expect Diggs, Louis, and Jasper to be Hurricanes when February rolls around

-3-star Defensive Tackle and 5-star Macy Gray look-a-like Darius Philon (Mobile, AL Vigor) recently decommitted from Auburn. The happenings surrounding the decommitment have been questioned ever since. We here at the Dye Hard have reason to believe that Philon has recently been told by Florida State quarterback coach and former Auburn great Dameyune Craig that "Auburn hates black people, I know, because I went there, and I am black people". Don't expect Philon to become a Seminole, however.

Flint, You Fatty

- Auburn's first commitment of the 2012 class was 3-star OG Micheal Flint (Oxford, AL Oxford) was dropped from the Tiger's class recently. The rumors surrounding the decommitment ranged from an NCAA PLOI to the Flint giving us a reason to once again laugh at the idea of someone having "gravy" listed as their blood type. The truth is that Auburn's coaches hate black people. I know it doesn't make sense, but Dameyune Craig told me as much.

- Justin Shanks got paid. (Source: BamaOnLine).

- Auburn's coaches have once again denied the public access to the Tiger's practices. This is to hide the fact that the 2011 version of the Wah Eaguls is comparable in both talent and experience to a paraplegic nun on her first day in a brothel.

- While the coaches continue to harass many a top prospect, it appears that double digit long snappers, in association with a few diamonds in the rough will be the girth of Auburn's class.
