  • JW looks like he can grow into his position. Not allowing him playing time earlier in the season was a major error in my opinion. Earlier exposure could have changed the outcome in several games. Some of the players who had quit in earlier games seemed to perk up with him at quarterback. Will it make enough difference against remaining opponents? I think he is the difference between winning and loosing the ASU game. If he had more starts before Ga he could have made a bigger difference than he will. At least he may succeed in seeing that we are not embarrassed like we were against A&M. Against Bama I wish him the best and will appreciate any scoring the team is able to put up.

If I had to pick one play to explain to someone what happened to us this season I would show them this one. In the 4th quarter, with the score 42-7 KF took over for JW. There was no pressure, we're up 42-7 in the 4th quarter and we have the ball. On 3rd and 5 a little swing pass to the left was called. KF is in the shotgun, the ball is snapped, there is no rush, there is nobody anywhere near the RB who is running laterally about 10 yds away from KF. KF rifles the ball about 5 feet in front of and 5 feet over the head of the RB, a totally unforced error. Had the pass been completed we would definitely have made the 1st down and probably much more on the play. Instead we punt. I have no idea why KF could not throw a catchable ball but it was a very simple play and throw. Inexplicable.

That kind of lack of execution has rendered our offense totally impotent. For the first time in my life, After watching the ark game I knew before the next 3 games started we didn't have a chance of winning because our offensive was totally ineffective. I've never felt that way about an Auburn game before this year.

You can imagine how our defensive players felt going into a game knowing that no matter what they did, the offense couldn't score points. JW took a while to get his legs under him Sat. but I thought he did well overall for his first start. For the first time in a while I feel a little bit better about our offense.

Couldn't agree with you more. KF has consistently struggled with that pass. Why is what I want to know. It can't be a surprise to the coaches. So why are we consistently calling a play that doesn't have a high chance of success and why is the problem never eliminated?
