Yep. I have been getting season tickets since I was a student from 91-96 and then started my own TUF account after that. This year, I said to hell with it. It just got ridiculous. My wife and I were looking at it this year. We had 10 total and we used 4 of those and a friend bought the other 6. As we were digesting the numbers, it cost us $940.00 for TUF for our 4 plus $1,800 for the 4 ticket books for a total of $2,740 for me, my wife and 2 kids to go to AU football games this Fall. While looking at the schedule, we decided that we didn't give a rip about going to Alabama A&M or ULLaf, or ULM. That left 4 games that we would definitely attend. $2,740 divided by 4 is $685.00. That's right, it would cost my family of 4 $685.00 per game to go to the 4 SEC games on our schedule this year. She left it up to me, but after chewing on it for about a week, I said screw it. I'm out. If we want to go to some or all 4 of the SEC games this year, it will cost us much, much less than $2,700 to go by just buying them off of the street. Plus we are in the NW end zone corner. We can get better seats that that for much less. When I made that decision, a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders.

you don't even have to buy them off the street. There are several legit "scalpers" in Birmingham such as AAA Tix. You can get the same 4 seats for the entire season and still save money. You will know before the first game exactly where your seats are and have the same seats to every game
