1. There have been a couple of box out lapses but mostly we are simply way out talented in the front court. Herb Pope is really good and we have nobody nearly as good.
2. What "fundamentals" do you see that we aren't doing on defense?
3. Guards ducking head and going to the rim after one pass? This has happened very rarely tonight.
4. Free throws, totally agree.
This isn't "streetball" by any means. I think, offensively, this team is trying really hard to work for good shots but when we have no low-post threat, the guards are going to have to take a lot of shots or drive to the hoop and try to draw fouls. Ward had a couple of possessions that were out of control with quick shots but for the most part, I think they are really trying to be disciplined on both ends but we just don't have all the pieces yet.

Bottom line, this team will get better and will be competitive for the most part but we got schooled tonight. Patience, good players and times are coming. Barbee can and will get it done - WDE

We got dominated on the boards primarily because of being in poor position, not talent mismatch.
We do not communicate well on D, do not switch well, and do not get a body in position. We do not trap well, and that gives way to easy points. We do not stop the ball on breaks, we also don't wait for numbers after the outlet on numerous possesions.
On the guard play, we must have been watching a different game...we are sloppy, ther is very little movement away from the ball. When you are being guarded by a better player, you don't try Nd take them one on one to the rim, use screens and ball movement to get looks, not the cross over fadeaway we love to shoot.
We might as well take a few steps back and shootna jumper rather than a free-throw...
