looking to get a Tablet/IPad or something

  • to mostly use for work and play. I need something I can do flash presentations on and get signatures on paperwork. Suggestions? I literally know nothing about them.

  • I love my iPad. But it doesn't support flash. Apple doesn't allow flash on their iPods, iPads, and iPhones. Most have figured out how to do everything flash does in other ways. There's apps for just about everything. Hope that helps some! WDE!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm literally the last person to transition to newer technology but am having to change my ways due to the company I work for. I mean, I have a near 50 year old music cabinet in my living room that plays records and friggin 8-tracks. Time to step it up a bit. Considering I'm only 36 you'd think I'd be more progressive. Haha!

I absolutely love my iPad. Liked it so much I finally got on the smart phone bandwagon the other day and got an iPhone. The apple products are very user friendly. Heard the Galaxy is good too. I just don't know that for sure. If you get a pad you might try looking for a iPad 2 rather than the 3. Its probably cheaper and has what you need. At least compare the 2 and see for yourself if you'd need the upgrades made to the pad. By the way, I only got WiFi and I've never had a problem with that.

Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy

I asked Apple about that on the phone one day with a tech and they said that Flash is too big and would take up so much of their memory that they didn't think it was worth it. And Adobe wouldn't make a smaller flash application just for Apple.

Yea Steve Jobs spoke about it in his book at one point about how it was a waste of space with outdated technology. If he had it his way flash would not be on any apple product, but his panel told him MacBook Pro and IMac sales would fall without flash capability.

That's true with DropBox. Look into it. I use it for my small business every day! You can go to your files from ANYONE'S computer, your smartphone, tablet, etc. I have an iPhone 4S which I LOVE, iPad 3 which is great, and a brand new MacBook Pro which is just incredible. All are very simplistic to use. I'm very good with computers and these three almost make me feel like I'm playing with toys they are so easy to use. If your office can make the iPad work, that's the direction I would go. You will be very happy with your new apple!

One last thing, I noticed you said an IPad 2. You find them brand new at MUCH cheaper rates through Craigslist if you know how to navigate through the BS. Many business professionals sell theirs when the upgrade and most are in perfect condition at half the price or less. Enjoy!

  • I am a huge fan of my Google Nexus 10. Not a fan of Apple Products and this one can do everything I need it to do. With that being said, you can't go wrong with any of the tablets listed on this page.

I also own a nexus 10 and love it. newer versions of android do indeed support flash. display is higher than 1080p fast processor and plenty of memory. if you buy it at walmart they offer full replacement or price of for two years for $44. spill, drop, fling... all covered.
