According to Rivals, 11 of bama's 23 commits are 3 stars. I know you can argue they have 2 5 stars, but we are not through.

I still wouldn't mind us taking a risk on Akeel Lynch. He has a solid GPA too. I know he doesn't come from the toughest competition but Ronnie Brown only played in 2A football in Georgia himself so that's not always true they're only good because of the competition. Had he been used better his first two years, Terrell Zachery would have been an awesome receiver and he was from 1A Wadley. Lynch is only a three star and I'm not even sure he's a high three star.
Still, I think this kid got overlooked for whatever reason. From what I understand, he might drop his commitment to Boston College if a big time school offered him a chance. Why do I like him so much? Honestly, I simply like his size and speed and GPA. Everybody keeps saying we need a bruising back. He's 6'0 205lbs and he runs a 4.4 with a 3.0+ GPA. After a year of strength and conditioning, you have to think he'd gain at least ten pounds. With his frame though, he could probably gain 15-20 lbs and not lose much speed. Best case scenario you'd have a guy that was 225 lbs running a 4.4 or 4.5 at worst. I will give Coach Yox the fact that he knows how to build muscle and keep or even increase speed. Hell, he might even help Lynch to drop below a 4.4.
