Callaway wanted to play running back, so he switched to Auburn because that's the position we were recruiting him for. When Alabama promised him a chance to try running back, he switched his commitment back....because THAT'S (caps for emphasis, not yelling) where he wanted to go.
Did you ever see the video from signing day? Does that look like a kid being forced to go somewhere he didn't want to go? He basically lived on that campus throughout recruiting. He said himself that it was like "home" when he was there.
I have no idea if they ever did anything to get him to commit in the first place, but had there not been a running back vs linebacker position situation with him, he would never have switched to Auburn in the first place. That's just the truth.
