He had a bad camp coming off a shoulder surgery that he obviously hadn't fully recovered from....
You spoke to the Elite 11 folks and they told you they didn't know how they would invite him to the final even, but they did, what is your point??
HE DIDN"T THROW 14 INT"S
Pikes Stats: For the season, Pike was 163-for-262 passing for 2,011 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Pike has also rushed 149 times for 883 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Also, he team went 3-8, not 3-7, that doesn't help the Pike cause, but proves that you hardly know what you're talking about here.
Zeke is a leader on and off the field, if you are going to knock a kid for smoking synthetic pot, you may want to drop half the kids in the country.
With offers from nearly every elite school in the country, along with his size, 6'6 225, and the fact that he did make the final cut at the elite 11, it's hard to argue that he should be a 3-star prospect.
Your post further proves to me the lack of knowlege by the national analyst.

He went 3-8 after losing the first round playoff game that he was suspended for. So 3-7 regular season. I was reciting stats off hand, not reading them. But I have seen his numbers.
I saw Zeke Pike at more off-season events than any other QB. He wasn't the one of the best performers at any of them. The Elite 11 was probably his best effort but it was still inconsistent.
I hope he has a great career. I've always liked the kid whenever I've dealt with him. But he needs to mature, and he is way too inconsistent right now. I also know of schools that offered him but would only take him as a tight end.
This is our thought-process. You can disagree all you want but at this point if we were to keep him a four-star it would only be because he was committed to Auburn. He's not had a four-star spring, summer or fall.

These are the stats I have from compiling the stats sent to me each week from a Dixie Heights coach. I've emailed him for the final stats just to make sure my totals are correct:
Pike finished his senior season completing 156-of-267 passes for 1,964 yards with 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He rushed for 728 yards and 16 touchdowns on 196 carries.

Look, I think Pike may come to Auburn and be very good. But have you watched his film? He's playing against 8th graders. He looks like Shaq out there when he's running...it's no wonder he has over 800 yards rushing. My point it that these guys get paid to evaluate on what they see far more than what the stat line looks like.
I live in the San Antonio area and there are probably 10 quarterbacks around here with better stats that are playing ten times the competition. That doesn't mean any of them project as 4-star college quarterbacks.
I'm a little confused as to why you pay money to get the opinions of experts and then insult them when their opinion doesn't match your own. That doesn't make much sense to me. Why even bother to read what others have to say if you're only going to believe yourself in the end anyway?

Zeke Pike being dropped to 3-star is a joke...
