They are somewhat highly recruited high school players who, at least so far, haven't panned out in college. They are not the first and won't be the last at Auburn or any other school.

Just saw Cyrus Kouandjio and TJ Yeldon standing together in the huddle Seems like we barely miss on the ones that do live up to potential, and pick up the guys that have character issues. Hopefully the attrition rate will go down after this season.

The thing about Reed is everyone has to remember he was highly recruited but he played QB in HS. He was an ATH recruit not the #1 WR.
I think the highly recruited ATH are the hardest b/c some can figure out the new position and others spend their whole college career trying to figure out where they fit best.

Rivals had him rated the #2 WR in their initial rankings. After the Army All-American game, he was given the "athlete" moniker because he showed promise at both WR AND CB.
Welp, we've done a good job of not developing him to play either position and he is justifiably frustrated.
