Because I know lots of wise young people and lots of ignorant older people. While usually the older you are the wiser you are, the are exceptions. Like me vs eaglesteve. That guy was the most ignorant person I've ever seen. While you may consider me ignorant, I am simply highly opinionated. Considering I am a very objective person, I accept that and admit it. I accept your points about BP causing a rift, and will even go so far as to say you are right, but I highly doubt that they would be permanent. No fan base is ever in 100% agreement on a hire. I remember bama fans crying about the Saban hire and look at where they are at now. There isn't a single bama fan that doesn't worship the man.

Most of you are just incapable of accepting any other possibility besides your own personal opinion. I am opinionated, but I am always up for discussion with those who can be logical in their arguments and not just blow off everything else.

Would it be different around hereif Bobby P were hired? Yes. Would half the fan base have been angry? Yes. Would it have lasted had Bobby came in and won and showed he himself had changed for the better? I doubt it.

Everyone here wants to act like they know Bobby personally and act like he's a horrible man....Not one person here knows BP personally. The one closest to it was Ron and he said those close to him said he was very remorseful for his actions and was taking the path to better himself and his family....

But yeah....you guys know better right? Logic - try it.

You're actually not being objective about this issue. You've adopted a stance that those who disagree with your position about BP lack objectivity and youve assumed a moral high ground that makes you intractable to conclusions other than your own.

A perfectly reasonable and rational counterargument to your position concerning BP would be that no true fan of Auburn University would tolerate a person, who just recently committed a cluster of atrocious immoral decisions, being named as the iconic symbol representing their university and serving as a leader to it's student athletes. You reject that position by begging the question concerning the premises one must hold in order to formulate such an argument and frankly are lobbing ad hominem at a strawman.
