Lived in Auburn for years, and yet to figure out Why Niffer's is on anyones list. Nothing unique at all. Just microwave style food if you ask me...
Buffalo Connection is a favorite... the others mentioned are good. Byrons for Breakfast... D-Square Donuts, if you can get there before they run out (only open a few hours in morning) ... A New Place thats really unique for the area, is Pizza Schmizza over in the strip by Loco's. ITs good and so many choices for some different kind of Pizza.
Amsterdam for good food.
