is the "fluke" season? A few have stated that 2010 was a fluke season because it was perfect and we had Cam and Nick. But I have to say that THIS season feels more like the "fluke" to me.

The 2010 team was top heavy with 27 seniors on roster and I STILL think they were the reason we won that NC because they were the leaders.

Fast forward to 2012 and we are bottom heavy thus the lack of leadership and consistency on the field.

We have experienced more off the field issues in the last 24-36 months than I can remember in the last 24-36 years.

IMO, the fact that this team is bottom heavy adds credence to Chizik's plan to lay a foundation for the future.

If the soon to sign recruiting class can be held in place then the team will be heavier at the top and still have a strong foundation to build upon. Not sure a coaching change will not cause some to decommit. I know what they are saying now but they have no idea yet who their coach will be if Chizik is released so we don't know what they will do if this staff is dismantled.

There is always more to the situation than what we see on the field on Saturdays. I don't think any of us knows enough about this team to fully understand the bigger picture.

Imagine how hungry this team, players & coaches, will be after this season?

A fluke is when you get breaks here and there. So, beating Clemson in overtime is a fluke. So maybe 2010 was a bit flukey.

We've looked bad every game. The closest "fluke" we had was against LaMO - meaning we could easily be winless. Sure, if you invent a pick six (not that we intercept passes - should tell you something) - it could flip a game, but then that could go the other way.

Another reason this line of thought doesn't work is that in 2010, we got better. The first game against SC was close - the last one was not. This year, we seem to be getting worse each week, peaking perhaps against Clemson, or maybe LSU.
