has created such an apathetic attitude in our major sports. Since when has bottom-dweller status been acceptable as Auburn fans? This type of production on the football field, basketball court, and diamond would cause heads to roll at a high school, much less a major university with the dignity and prestige of Auburn. Don't get me started on saying what the college up state would do if these types of results became even close to the norm.
Auburn fans feel so helpless to do anything about it (speaking primarily for myself here) because the powers-that-be seem to be so untouchable, the media players (including some recruiting sites) (even the few that are covering AU) are more concerned about keeping good standing with their contacts than calling for better production, and the culture at Auburn will continue to slide into the realm of forgotten dignity unless something happens--and fast.
Some will not like this post. Some will. Some will say it will get better next year. Maybe in football. We will see.
Just calling it like it is. We have, as Auburn fans, been forced to settle for losses (and lots of em). Oh wait, we beat Maine.

I couldn't agree more. My first love is football, but I am ashamed of the product we field in most other sports. Not just men's either. It starts at the top and its time for a change. JJ has to go even if the football program rebounds.
It's time for Phillip to write another pro JJ article because I am losing faith. The whole Athletic Department should be replaced. JJ would not have a job at UAT with this performance. AU want to support the teams but they SUCK.
