Hey guys, new to the board and was thinking about this while reading the post about what are your realistic expectations for the season. What do you predict the chances of us winning each individual game this season? I think this season is a bit of an enigma for us because we are incredibly talented but still young in some key areas like QB and Oline. I think this year we are going to take major steps and with the talent we are bringing in and already have, will be contending for championships again next year.
We let the game get away from us last year, but I think the improvement in our D will keep them from scoring as much, especially without Sammy Watkins who can break a short gain for a TD at any moment. I think our offense will really start clicking in the second half and we will pull away midway through the third qtr. That being said, they are a dangerous team and it is the first game of the season.
Miss State- 75%
We are the better team.
Dont need to say much about this
Home game, we should be 3-0 and have momentum. If Mettenburger or however u spell it lives up to the hype(which I dont think he will) this is going to be very difficult to pull off
Great QB, good skill positions, questionable defense. We are at home should be 3-1 still feeling good about the season
They are ole miss, but its a road game in the SEC.
Improving, but not on Auburns level
Dont think they are ready for SEC yet.
New Mexico State-95%
Aaron Murray with good WRs plus a top defense. We are at home and should be at the top of our game at this point.
I hate to have us at below 50% but I think we are still a year away. That being said, we definitely have a shot and I do not think there is any chance of a blowout.
So all of that gives a predicted 8.55 wins. I think the biggest difference from last year to this year is that every game we play in against top teams will be competitive and we will have a chance to win. So it could easily be 10 wins.
I think we could possibly contend for the SEC this year because we are talented enough, but I think that we will play more close games than LSU and Bama will, which would lead to more potential losses.
Just interested to see what everyone else thinks.

Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy - you know who
We'll win at least nine, provided we remember that:
"We've gotta play'em one at a time, bring the house cause you never can tell the way that ball is gonna bounce. We have to take care of the football, and our defense can bend as long as it doesn't break,. Our backs have to run downhill and protect the football, if everyone does their job, the score will take care of itself! We gotta fight, fight, fight, then fight some more - remember football is 80 percent mental and the other half is physical ! :-)
