I think you have two choices with your program. You can be a 9-10 winner who may sniff a conference championship and a BCS bowl game, like a Clemson, WVU, or Wisconsin. Or you can have a team that decides to take a hit for a year or two and reloads to get a conference title and bigger.
I know Alabama/LSU are on top right now. But look back to 2000...every team is going to hit that lull.
I'm just saying averaging 10 wins a year may be unrealistic for any program, much less Auburn. Tuberville didn't come close to 10 wins. Or Bowden. Or Dye. Or Jordan.
