CPD, JJ, CGC, etc. As far as replacements how about someone like Chris Del Conte? Currently the AD for TCU. He is already over a christian school so that panders to the believers in our fanbase.

    To replace Chizik, I personally like Petrino. I know it would have some resistance but Chizik met resistance too.

    I could care less about what a coach does in his personal life. I want someone who will keep our players out of trouble and win ball games. I want someone known as an X&O coach. We can put a couple recruiters on staff but we need some developers. I would say keep Grimes, Luper, and Boulware if they will stay. Trooper is a great guy, but he hasn't developed anyone. We hear how great they are off season and then nothing once the pads are on. I wonder about Thigpen as well our S weren't very good under him and our LBs are not very good under him too. Pelton just straight up isn't getting it done.

    Why would anyone leave TCU to come to Auburn? The purpose of an AD isn't to pander, it's to produce.

    Petrino? We still have people on the Petrino train? Am I not mistaken or has Petrino not proven that he would leave Auburn at the drop of a hat at the sign of a better opportunity? You might not mind his character issues, but lots would. It also contradicts who someone like our new AD, Del Conte, would hire.

    I'll stop there. It's not really that easy developing a plan, is it? And I'm not saying that to be a smart ass. I'm saying that to say there is a reason why you can't scrap everything and start over.

  • This is for everyone who wants to throw Coack Chizik under the bus. Every one of Auburn’s last four coaches has had years they struggled. Dye had 5-6, 8-4, 8-3,5-6,5-5. Bowden had 8-4 twice and a 1-5. Tuberville had 5-6, 7-5, 8-5,5-7. Chizik has 8-5 twice and a NC. Chizik had to endure the Camgate and all the national negativity that went with it. Half of you wanted to get rid of Coach Roof for the last 2 years the other half wanted to get rid of Gus last year. Chizik hired new coaches less than 8 months ago. They have had at the most 12 good weeks of coaching with the team. Give them a chance. WDE

    CPD=Pat Dye. Petrino didn't try to stab Tubs in the back our administration did when they tried to get CBP. He got offered an NFL job a lot of coaches take that shot. It didn't work out and he comes back to Ark where he has been for several years without the first rumor of him leaving, players were not being arrested, both his Offense and defense got better over the course of several years. Arky without him loses to ULM with him they were ranked 3rd in the country behind only the teams who participated in the NC. All that was done at a school that is historically hard to recruit to. We just see things differently. War Eagle and I hope the decisions are made that ultimately lead to us returning to the NC again very soon.

    Chizik isn't at 75% when you add this years games in. I dk why you would cut those out except if you were trying to further an agenda. When taking averages it is common place to throw our the best and worst. If we do that for Chiz he has 8 wins against lesser teams and a lot of blowouts against competition on the same level as we are.

  • This year isn't complete. I think you want to further your agenda against Chizik. I was pointing out that our last four coaches have had years where they struggled. Give the Chizik and the new coaches a chance.

    Is it? Would you be fired for having an affair? What about being an alcoholic? Do you support Pat Dye? If so you are simply harboring ill feeling towards CBP for no reason. Supporting it from CDP and acting high and mighty on the other is pretty hypocritical. It may seem that I'm being hypocritical since admittedly I want CBP and want CPD gone, but I don't care that CPD drank etc, I care that he has his fingers all over the program and he is strangling it.

    So your 20 seconds of Chizik talking during halftime proves he did it all season? Gotcha. Cam is what took our team to the promise land Chizik was just on board for the ride. Tell me in any other year Chiz was here how many real leaders have we had? That's on Chizik for not developing these guys into leaders.

    The team overachieved in 2009. Cam wasn't there to "motivate" the players.

    Yeah, he did better with Tubs players than he has so far with his own. Enter Terry Bowden comparisons. Chizik appears to be recruiting better than Bowden did but he isn't making the talent any better than he found it.
