You're Crazy, the ammount of argument just on AUC proves that less than 70% want him, and you have to take into account the majority of our fan base who are older peole, alumni, and don't get online to talk to you, it's more like 40% at most would support petrino... the petrino crowd even admits that most people don't want him at Auburn

I'm in sales and travel all over the state... That being said. Yes, people have mixed emotions about Petrino, but would support his hire in big numbers and it's growing. Part of it is desperation IMO.

Again, you show your close mindedness and come back with this same old tired statement you put up every single day. I'm a Petrino supporter and look at my post. I would be perfectly happy with a hire other than Petrino as long as long as it was a good hire for Auburn at this time. I like Petrino, not really because of his proficiency at the whole winning thing, but because he doesn't put up with bullcrap from his players.

But again, I would be happy with Jimbo or someone else that could come in and right this dumpster fire that is on the front railing of a sinking ship.

Yes, we are well aware of your stance on Petrino... Jesus man I said one statement about him and 5 others on other coaches and yet you still want to pick a Petrino fight.

There's not nearly 70% that want Malzahn...I don't think 95% want Stoops either....I'm not that big on Stoops myself. Just have never liked the guy period. Same could be said for Petrino, but I think mwdeav explained that one quite well. Although if you broke it down like that I would up the percentage and say:

90% total in support

35% right away all in on him (Me included)
55% comes on board once they see he can win and that he is behaving at Auburn

9% just will not like the idea of Petrino for one reason or another
1% (Buxton) will be sitting in the corner mumbling to themselves and waiting/hoping for Petrino to lose or mess up so they can run around yelling "I told you so!!!" ....That corner is going to be lonely and cold if he comes in here and starts showing people that he's not an idiot and knows that one more mistake will completely end his career.

The last sentence is the biggest point people are missing. The guy isn't stupid. He knows one more mistake with effectively terminate any chances he has of becoming a coach again. He is already on the thinnest of ice and knows one more and he's sunk and frozen.
