Just curious...based on previous reports in regards to no contact period being in effect (i.e. Saban running into recruits at their H.S.)....with our staff doing home visit in AZ last weekend...is that legal??? All this recruiting crap is confusing....War Eagle!!!

I sure wish Coach Grimes could / would go ahead , make a decision and put an end to all this speculation.....and BTW....As long as I have been watching/following college football(45+yrs)...Co-offensive coordinators have NOT been successful...I think Mack Brown is desperate....IMHO
If you have to ask why I love Auburn so much...never mind

All HC's are desperate these days. What makes college football so great is the constant change. Look at how many Soph. are Heisman candidates, how coaching changes turn programs around swiftly. The days of 4 years to build a program are long gone. Players get so much exposure and on the plus side much better coaching in HS, you expect the top recruits to have an impact from day one. Mack Brown is like any other coach give him talent and he'll win, cut the pipeline to the elite players and he's Watson Brown.

Just a thought, but doesn't it seen a bit dicey for Grimes to accept the Texas job after an in home visit with Westerman while representing Auburn? My gut feeling is Grimes stays and Westerman commits to AU. I think under the circumstances the timing is not right for Grimes. We have a little more at stake than just losing an OL coach. Grimes owed it to he and his family to interview at UT. Now he can negotiate the best deal with AU. It is also important for our administration to stop the flow of coaches to Texas as well. Another reason he stays put.
