Bryan, I respect you, but I get the impression that the information given to website reporters is a crock and in many cases just promotes the STENCH that recruiting has become. IMO the biggest impact of the TJY's flip was the timing and that up to the second he flipped you were reporting everything was all good. The same goes for RF. At least that is my immediate impression.
The truth is no one knows what is going on in parking lots, HR department, with living arrangements or other influences that make the difference. We live in a country of entitlement and every person who feels that life owes them something has no problem taking what is given so easily. There is no more pride in ones actions. Guilt is no longer a motivation to do right. I see it every day and it is not happening only in recruiting.
What our country has become has made cheating all that more easy to the ones who are desperate enough to make it happen. Now with the use of Websites and the ever need to be "The one in the know" and the "One who brought it first" approach to recruiting news, cheating comes with more value. It is no longer about getting the player; it is also about the collateral damage a decision can cause.
The RF fiasco is a classic example of who holds the card. The ones who have their hands out are the ones who are winning the game. I hope I am wrong with RF, but my thoughts are that maybe I am right. We will just see.

^^^ crock of foul smelly crap. Blame everyone in the world instead of considering the fact that the kid just didn't want to come to AU - if that is indeed the case. Plus your insulting the integrity of everyone that is associated and contributes information to this board. The truth is You have no idea the work the guys do to verify information before it is given to us. I don't believe our moderators just blindly feed us info and I don't think there's some Big conspiracy by schools to manipulate their own fan base by leaking disinformation. There's too many people involved for that to even be possible. The rest of your post is just blah, blah, blah - one of those typical blanket statements that are thrown out there that tries to assign blame to the masses for the selfish nature of the few. Yes, there are some who "play the game" but to imply that every kid that is being recruited does is simplistic, derogatory, insulting, uninformed and quite frankly asinine.

I never said all kids are doing this either. Let's be honest here. You don't like my implied politics so you spin the comment to make me someone I am not. Once again the simplicity of how spin works among the ones who are not grateful and think they deserve more.

What if Reuben went to pick kamara up and bring him back to AU. Also, Toney was saying Ford wasn't in town, but there were reports he was. We are getting these kids to flip and keeping the media attention off of them. Gus is a genius! He made this dismukes story up so that Reuben could go to ttown without any suspicion by the bamers... Probably not, but who knows.
