Way OT - Jeremy Lin

Don't know how much you all have seen of this guy but it's such a neat story. Let go by two teams, currently sleeping on his brothers couch, and now owning it with the Knicks. They say sports stories are better than Hollywood because you can't write this kind of stuff and you can't. Dude nailed a 3 to win for the Knicks tonight - their 6th straight win.

I just like the way he carries himself. In his post game comments, it was all about his teammates and what they did right and he kept talking about things he did wrong. Athletes like that who get the team concept are what athletics is all about. It's just refreshing to see someone carry himself like that, especially in the NBA which is usually the last place to find team first people.

Except that almost everyone who followed college football closely knew about Tebow by the time he was a Senior in (home)highschool. Thanks to the Gators' 2006 BCS Championship, even the most casual fans could identify him a year later, when he was still a FR in college.
I bet there was a significant percentage of Knicks season ticket holders who had never heard of Jeremy Lin two weeks ago. Now even someone who hasn't watched an NBA game in two decades (yours truly) is aware of him. Pretty amazing, actually.

Lin is awesome, but he turns the ball over way too much. He had 8 turnovers last night which is pretty much unheard from a point guard at that level. I suspect that Dantoni will have him in as the sixth man once Carmelo returns. He'll lead the second group in and will give them opportunities to continue to score while keeping guys fresh. Regardless if he will start, he will continue to have a major impact on that team.
