Great news for Shon and something that should put recruiting and a poor season in perspective for all of us Auburn Fans. Another reason to be proud of AU for our support of Shon during his incredibly difficult time and even prouder of him for the battle he has been fighting. Makes 3-9 not such a big deal.

From observing the Te'o circus this week, its great to have Shon as a REAL inspirational story!
His journey is one that few of us travel, and what an awesome guide Shon can be to the young, and even older cancer patients.

Great news. There was absolutely no reason he shouldn't have been granted the extra year. Will he want to stay in school for six seasons? At least he has the option. I was ready to go to work after four years and a summer.
Football practice and workouts wear these guys out. That is why guys like Trotter and Moseley opt out of a senior season. Fans forget that while they are propped up on the couch eating chips and cursing players on tv.

I think he is everything that is right in sports. These are the stories that should be in the news and not what we see. He never gave up and should be an inspiration to those that have it tough and for those that think they do.

What a great blessing to have Shon on the Auburn team. THIS is leadership the Auburn way. God bless him and his family even more through these next years to come. He is certainly a blessing to us.
