Over the last 9 years AU hoops had been cursed with horrible attrition, ie, players that make some really stupid decisions.
I've got too much Auburn in me to act like bammer trash.

So, is it safe to assume that the NCAA will be investigating our basketball program? What about the FBI? I mean are they done or will this be an on-going thing? Hate it for Barbee either way...he definitely needed some positive things to happen...

Also, did anyone else wonder why he through this paragraph in at the end? Didnt seem to tie into the story at all
Auburn made a last-second recruiting pitch to 6-foot-3 guard Brian Greene Jr. in late February only days after suspending Ward. Green told Rivals.com that he heard from Auburn for the first time on Feb. 27. Members of the coaching staff were visiting Greene by March 1, and the player had committed to the Tigers by Sunday.

He's saying it appears AU coaches recently came to the conclusion that they needed a point guard. In other words, whatever Ward was suspended for, the coaches feel there is a good chance he won't be back.
