Vanderbilt always has a great pitching staff and this one may be the best yet as evidence in their #2 ranking. Auburn isn't the only team thy will beat. I can't believe there is so much negativity towards this team. What does it say to the players who read this stuff. Auburn is putting it together and will win their share of games. There are many positives from these games. Between game 1 and game 2 there was a stretch of 28 consecutive batters retired by Auburn pitching. That's not shabby against this team. We just need that clutch hit here and there and we will be fine.

Only thing I was dissappointed in was scoring only 1 run while getting 9 walks. If we get a fly ball a couple of times we could have knocked the starter out but we would ground out or strike out. It was a great game early and ugly late. I love the mental approach of AU hitters just need to square of the ball more. WDE!

Too much like basketball - can't score! Still compared to last year's team much better defensively. Hard to evaluate when going against maybe the best pitchers in the nation.
