Watching VanGorder over the past year or so, the interviews recently and knowing he has a long and distinguished background based off record and so many respected peoples' opinions, I think he looks like someone who knows what is wrong, how to fix it, and he's been basically handcuffed and minimized and the frustration is showing. Just an outside perspective opinion................I think he could make a good head coach. I may be the only one, but I would take a chance on him for a year or two and just see what happens. I just don't think there are any homeruns out there right now. I also think he would take control of the football program and make it clear this is his program and the 'good ole boy' system is finished as long as he's here. He's been around long enough to know who he would pull in to be part of his staff and he's still a part of this recruiting class so it could help with that. I'm sure I could think of more reasons but other than a lack of head coaching experience, which I know is a big deal, I can't think of many negatives. Am I missing something?
