Thanks again Jadennis,
It's somewhat comical reading the many posters here on AUC that are fearful that doom & destruction has befallen AU.
Add to that, those same ones and others, cannot stop comparing AU with UAT and everything they do...bless their hearts they're just obsessed with what UAT thinks or says about AU.
There is a young uat fan at work that can't wait to show me the latest article or internet pic against AU...some really are just down right comical.
But, that young-un knows stuff like that has no effect on me...at all. It's just an out for him to express himself to an old man that can enjoy a good laugh.
Auburn is, and will continue to be amongst the best, and Ja stats are proof enought!

Interesting analysis, but the arbitrariness of the point values assigned undermines the 'statistical' appearance of the results to some degree. I have really enjoyed your previous analyses but I think this one is a little problematic because of the point values. For instance, LSU gets points for winning a national title after getting in with two losses - you ignored poll rankings (which I agree with) but polls played a part of them getting into the game, like the polls kept Auburn out of the title game in 04, so by awarding so many points for a national title you are allowing rankings to influence your results.
Good work though and an interesting read.
Alabama delenda est.
Mr. Jadennis,
With all the (CRAZY and uneducated) talk about how Auburn is processing players at a much faster rate than everyone else in the SEC. Including alabama. I would like to see stats on the players over the last 5 recruiting cycles. Tubs last 2 and Chiziks 1st 3. The ones that stayed and grew up in the program, the ones that left or were asked to leave and why, the players that contributed, and the players that warm the practice squad. The attrition of Tubs last 2 and how that affected Chizik.
I've seen several headings that talked about various aspects of each of these but haven't seen it all put together. If such a thing exists then please point the way, otherwise could you give us a summary?
