I guess ole Pete Thamel just isn't too sharp on the uptake.....

If you kids don't believe this stuff happens ALL the time, do yourselves a favor and watch Catfish...especially the movie. This is why you don't befriend people on the internet, I mean just look at the pictures from the nWo picnic. TRAINWRECK, bruhs!

If he "met" her in 2009, whether it be in person or not, do any of you really believe this kid would have continued to stay in contact with a girl he'd only seen a couple pictures of? With all the technology now days (Skype, Face time, etc) would you talk to somebody for 3 years you had never physically met or at least have some sort of video chat with them instead of a phone conversation?? And then not go to see her after a terrible car wreck, after she finds out she has cancer, after she dies, or at least travel to her grave site.. Come on people!! NO ONE can really be that naive can they?

There is something very strange about this whole ordeal. It could be plausible that after all the hype he was receiving this year he knew people would start to question this "girlfriend" for interviews etc. maybe he thought it would be best to have her "die" so maybe nobody would ask about her actual existence... I don't now just snowballing here, but I'm interested to see what comes of it.
