im curious if i believe that......i did hear they did it to another person but he figured it out within a week.....if it was this elaborate as te'o is claming, this would almost be like a full time job......8 hours on the phone?

Yea I have a hard time believing these new developments. Supposedly it "was a game and then got serious", what incentive would that kid have to put more effort into this hoax instead of telling Te'o before it got to this point? It just seems like a long period of time to keep that up. In the video interviews it seems like the cousins are making an effort to push specific details instead of naturally answering the questions, like they are worried about getting a certain story right.

Manti still needs to explain why he and his father told multiple stories about them meeting and holding hands and visiting each other in Hawaii.

I still believe this was just Manti's cover for being gay and he let it go too far. He's a Mormon football player at a Catholic school. His long distance relationship was a perfect cover for him to be able to turn down every dime at Notre dame trying to get in his pants.

I'm sure we will all find out the truth soon, whatever it may be.

Why? ESPN doesn't have much of a relationship with Notre Dame (they are all NBC).

They sure didn't hold back on reporting anything regarding Cam or Ohio State or Michigan or Oregon or Duke lacrosse, all of which ESPN has much more of a relationship with than the Irish.

They also had the deadspin story scrolling across the bottom of the screen for like 48 hours, even during the Swarbrick press conference.

ESPN will go to great lengths to get ratings and web hits. That's who they care about...themselves.
