My only point was that coaches that have been quite good in recent history didn't have to have a perfect first year as head coach. That is why I used the examples I did. Terry Bowden is a good coach and had a stunning record before he left suddenly. That's all.....Geez.

Tommy has some pretty good-looking prospects committed for next year at Texas Tech and I believe in the man. He brought some very good talent into Auburn before he finally realized that he would be batting heads with Tammany Hall and the battle was not worth fighting. I admit that his recruiting was sub-par his last two years, but I would get discouraged too with that bunch looking over my shoulder all the time. I say, give him some time and he will have the TT program flying high again. TBII
