Well since someone already put a post in here as I hoped would not happen, let me just say that this Auburn Alum would gladly support Bobby Petrino (and anyone else once they are our guy really) and I do not care one bit about what bama does or thinks in any way shape or form.

Put that in your percentage!

80% of the Auburn Alums I have talked to want BP. They realize that we would win on the football field.

Well Ive been in love with Auburn since the mid 60s. Put one through Auburn and have one there now. I witnessed every home game in 10 and witnessed in person the beatdown in turdtown. I witnessed 2 Wonders of the World in 3 days while in Phoenix. As for me and mine we will gladly accept Petrino.

Most, but not all, the AU folks I talk to outside of internet land seem to be either against BP being hired or are, like me, on the fence. I'm just being honest when I say I struggle with the idea of hiring him as our coach - not because of an affair or because I doubt he can win - but because it's hard for me to believe he has just flipped a switch so that a decade or more of what appears to be poor judgment and decision making is no longer an issue. It's just hard to believe that that much change happens that quickly. JMO, but I think that's where a lot of AU folks are.

Of course people are going to bitch about it, until he starts winning and shows that a human being can change. I find it highly ironic that people are basing their judgement upon Bobby Petrino based on media accounts and perspective. You hypocrites do realize that this is the same media we were defending Cam against and so upset that everyone in the country thought Cam and Auburn were dirty and everyone was crying about how unfair media portrayal was. Unbelievable.

Is he a changed man? I dunno, but I want to believe so. Those of them who actually know him or have spoken to him believe he truly has, so I'm going to believe them because they know more than any of us. But either way I know it isn't my place to judge.

Just one last thought and I'm done. All the man knows is coaching and he loves coaching.... Do you really think he could possibly mess up again? He knows if he messes up again that his career is over.... Just a little perspective.
