How come all of the bammers are up in arms about what Jim Brown said. Mc Elroy said that he was better prepared to be a NFL qb than Cam and no one call him out on that. Ben Tate said that he was a better running back than Mark Ingram and everyone had a fit and said that he was crazy and look at what he has done as a backup compared to Ingram who is on a better team. Double standards once again for AU
I searched around and finally found it, I hadn't heard this before. for those that don't know:
"I'm not overwhelmed with it," Brown said of the idea that the Browns could take Richardson. "The problem is that he's ordinary. I think he's ordinary."
Asked what about him is ordinary, Brown said, "the size, the speed, his moves."
I have said for the past two years that I wasn't hugely impressed with Richardson and I got bashed every time I have said it. He is a good back in a running system behind a solid line. Of course his numbers will be good. His strength is in his stamina. Most of his big plays come toward the end of the game when the defenses are weaker. Not sure he will be able to do that in the NFL.
Double-standard, yes. We have them too.
Brown is out of his mind, anyone who thinks Trent is an ordinary back is either: 1) afraid of being replaced as the "best back in franchise history", 2) biased because he went to Bama or 3) just plain wrong.
Bash and DV away but Trent is as close to a can't-miss prospect as there is in this draft. He has decent speed, above average strength and stamina, rarely puts the ball on the ground, good field vision and is an excellent weapon in the passing game--blocking or receiving. Trent is the real-deal
I never noticed how big tRent's head was until the draft. His glasses were all stretched out on that big noggin'. His weave doesn't really help either though.
Well, time will tell. Backs like him are pretty common in the NFL.
He hasn't been hit like he's about to be hit. He's just never really impressed me. Just my opinion and not because he played for a team I hate.
