Tracy Rocker!

  • Do not get me wrong - I really loved having Rocker as a player and I loved the fact that he came back to Auburn, but I don't see how he is so much better than another DL coach.

    Auburn had a really good defense even in '08 the year before he arrived. In fact, the defense was worse after he got to Auburn. I know, I know, the whole defense was worse after Chizik got there and it wasn't Rocker's fault.

    Zach Clayton was already good, Fairley came around during TR's two years for sure, and the DE's came to play late in 2010.

    Will I be glad if he comes back? Heck yeah. But more because of his heritage at Auburn and less because of the recruits he helped bring to Auburn.

    I'm gonna go out on a limb & place my $$$ that he's our next DL Coach! Here's why:

    -It's been confirmed that Gus has reached out to him, & thus far, no other name has been posted by PM, BM, or RS! There's been no story of denial or such!

    -A JuCo DT was quoted saying that we'll have our next DL Coach "in place" by the time that he visits this upcoming weekend!

    -If Gus was bringing the DL Coach from ASU, wouldn't he have already done so, as he did w/Lashlee & Russell?

    *I'be been wrong before, & will be many more times in the future, but just as I did with my post about betting on Gus being our next HC, about a week before he was hired, I'd lay down the $$$ on this prediction as well! (Just like then, I have no inside sources, connections, etc..)

  • Saw where the OL coach from the Steelers announced he was leaving to take a college job, maybe we wont have to wait til 12/30/2012,

    Today is a great day to love Auburn, a little better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.
