A special set of circumstances must align perfectly. Guys just don't jump from one major football school to another very often. Saban would not be at UAT if not for a failed experiment with the NFL, spurrier would not be at USCe if not for another failed experiment in the NFL. Urban would not be at OSU if not taking a year off.
The sad thing is AU has the perfect opportunity to join in this list of schools who had the perfect storm that led them to a great coach...ours is with Petrino. For some unknown reason we are not trying to hire the best coach but rather a good coach with high moral fabric. I say hire petrino and have a morality clause in his contract if u r concerned.
