He was not sitting front and center in the war room. He was in there for a minute or so to deliver a message to someone and never sat down even for a second. I'm not defending his role with the football team in the past, but he has no role now. He only had the role he had before because Chizik wanted him to.

I understand that. But, we had one. We have Associate AD's over other sports, unless that has changed also. There was some chatter that McGlynn might get that role, but that seems a little odd to me.

Not sure what post you think you're responding to, but it's not mine. I posted a link for another person to search because he asked about the salary. I'm pretty sure going from 15 thousand a month to 24 thousand a month is an increase in salary,(although that's over time) but I'll wait to see what Jay Jacobs says about it.

So I ran the searches by fiscal year. It appears that his increase occurred at the start of the current fiscal year, which began in October. That would mean his raise came during football season -- and was likely approved before the season even started. Standard pay in fiscal 2012 was $20,058.33. That annualizes to about $240k, though he got some kind of balloon check during the year, so he's total payout was $286K. Not immediately clear whether that's base or take home, but I assume the latter as the search yields records listed as check numbers, so it should be the precise amount actually paid to the employee.
Meanwhile, his standard pay in fiscal 2013 is listed as $24,069.99. That's a $4,000 increase, or 20 percent. Phillip, I'm curious as to how you didn't follow that from the post or the link above? Or were you simply saying his salary hasn't change since the December personnel moves in the department?
Frankly, given the economy and the standards in the private sector, I find it offensive that any public executives are getting these kind of raises these days. It always angered me as a student when they raised tuition while deans and vice presidents got generous salary bumps. I'd rather the rank-and-file get small raises, but when someone at Jackson's level -- if he's managed his finances worth spit, he should barely have a mortgage at this point -- gets that kind of raise while they bump ticket prices to what they are? Unconscionable. Borderline stealing, in my book. (Independent of the football team's performance or Jackson's general Tim-ness that many find so troubling.)
