Way to go guys! Everyone is ready to see our basketball fortunes on the rise, and hey, anyone who thinks hoops can't be big at AU just based on the most recent time period listen up. I was a student thru the mid-80s which was a time of AU basketball that due to the longevity of that run(I believe) was even a better time than the one-and-done '98-'99 team that just about stayed unbeaten thru the regular season and held the #1 spot with Chris Porter. And let me tell you, it was a blast. We'd even fill up the old coliseum. We had UNLV fly in town for a made-for-tv Sunday game carried nationally by ABC and featuring Dick Vitale—which was before everyone got sick of him. How about that Saturday that Barkley checked one of the "Twin Towers" over the Press Row tables at courtside and was ejected not a couple minutes into the game! n the '86 tourney we bounced UNLV right out in the round of 16 before losing to eventual champ Louisville in the 'Elite Eight'. Yes, basketball can be fun at Auburn and I'm excited for us heading in that direction finally.

War Eagle! Can't wait to watch this one today! Saw the 2nd half of the ls(who) gm and it was great until the last minute or two of the game. I've purchased the espn full court pkg and ready for the S.E.C. Season - let's do this Tigers!!!

I was at those games also (as a student) Good Times!! The only problem was,.. was that with all the talent we had, we still would only sell out the very BIG games. It's the way it is, I guess.
