My daughter is a freshman at Auburn. She called me as the game was starting and said she and a group of friends were turned away. I was shocked. Especially to see all of the empty seats available in the non student section. Hope that problem gets straightened out. No one should ever be turned away from attending an Auburn basketball game unless it's a true sell out of all seats. Hope Barbee gets that fixed ASAP. Auburn spent a lot of money to build an arena that would give them a chance of filling it up. It's a darn shame students are being turned away.

Unbelievable! Too bad I'm referring to that 'bone-headed' decision by the AU athletic dept. to charge students so much. My goodness. Coach Barbee has to be thinking "what's going on here?" It's hard to build the brand and get that core support that the students will give him when stupid decisions are being made by the brass. I'd like to see one of his "A Word from Jay Jacobs" emails to explain how that happened. Bush league.

Great win. Took a break from studying to catch it on CSS, and found myself standing and cheering in my living room.

As for the student ticket deal, that is absurd. Hopefully it gets straightened out. I started regularly attending games my senior year and never had that issue, no reason they should start that crap now.

The fact that students were turned away makes me sick to my stomach. Incredible incompetence on the part of our athletic department. Absolutely unbelievable. I can only imagine what Tony Barbee was thinking to himself when he was driving home afterwards. I wouldn't blame him if he made a call to his agent to find him another job.
