From oversigning.com On national signing day, Darius Philon thought he was going to be signing with Alabama. He even brought his Alabama hat with him to his signing ceremony. That was until Alabama landed Korren Kirvan from Virginia. The addition of Kirvan, a higher rated prospect, meant that Alabama no longer had room under the 25 per signing year limit, and instead of being able to sign him now and then cut someone existing from the roster during the spring or summer, Nick Saban had to break the news to the kid on national signing day that there wasn't room for him in this class. Philon could join next year, but there was not room for him now.

A 4 star should not have to take a Hollah Back from anyone. This loophole needs to be closed. I thought the days of bahr signing 100 a year were long gone.
Today is a great day to love Auburn, a little better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

I'm curious about something, see if you can help me out.
Grey shirts are not legally binding for the school.
I'm not sure how free the grey shirt is to leave and go elsewhere if the scholarship doesn't come through after they enrolled and are an actual student. If they didn't enroll and just stayed home and waited until Dec/Jan they would be treated like an early enrollee and could sign anywhere they wanted to. Does anyone know if being a non-scholarship student impedes one from leaving that school and signing a scholarship at another school?

Once he gets here for his official visit he'll be sold. Will fit right in with the new defensive scheme. Chance for early playing time. Gets to play close to home where his family can come see him play. Also gets to play for a school that really wants him and has room for him. No way should we loose an in state prospect we want to Vandy.
