Very sad. I had higher expectations.

I've been one of the loudest Tony Barbee supporters on here the whole season........ But this loss...... to a team with only 8 players.... the last place team in the league.... is 100% unacceptable. I almost cracked the screen on my tv. I don't understand. Chubb looked pretty good tonight. Denson was real good. And we still lost. To Mississippi State. Next season needs to be a 20 win, above .500 SEC season. Otherwise a new direction may be needed.

Maybe that's a tell. Dead last unthinkable? If it is, it's arrogant to the mth degree.
No one can deny that the way Auburn played in two sports earned the dead last thing. But, I believe we'll not be dead last too long. As I see it.this time in 04 ought to be the end of it. There should be some caveats though. Fans need to refrain from saying that Barbee can't do it as that has to be reflected in some prime recruits thinking. .

Barbee is probably a decent coach, but without the players, what difference does that make? If Auburn is gonna compete, we've gotta attract a top notch name in order to attract the best players. With out new facilities and our checkbook capabilities, that shouldn't be so hard. But does the administration want to creat a Bryant vs. Rupp situation? Still, we gotta do something...

Jay Jacobs won't survive this! Barbee will get another year IMHO because of the 3 million dollar buyout.

I haven't watched more than a half of Auburn basketball in about 4 years, what does that tell you (and not that i am a bad fan), the product is so bad it is not worth watching and has been for a long time.
