While there is some reason to believe change may be needed at the top, this argument is pretty weak-going from 1st to second and significantly ahead of the rest of the field is not "fading". It means one other program has finally gotten the depth to be competitive with us. ( See post from xAUDiver91 below)

I was wondering about this myself. It seems the men's team has slipped over the past three years, but have not really looked at the times closely. Certainly some stars did shine so far with excellent times, but the depth did not seem to be there in several events. The women have crashed hard, but I do note they were not fully rested and were pointing toward nationals. Don't know if they did that because there was no chance at SEC or what, but things have changed in these programs over the last three years. When you consider, however, that there are really two maybe three great swimming states and Alabama is not even close, what Auburn has done is remarkable to date.
