Where are the 4-star offers for this 4-star player? Seems like GA, AL, TN, or some other programs besides the Mississippis, Indiana, etc, would offer. Could it be grades?

I'm thinking this is the reason for the reluctance. It's obvious from his quotes that as soon as Auburn offered him he would commit, but 5'11" 195 sounds more like a large corner back...not a safety.

This being coupled with Van Gorder's want and need for big safeties is what is holding the offer back I'm guessing.

I try to make my impression of a recruit based on the schools who offer him. That isn't an exact science but the judges (big schools) rate them pretty high. Maybe this guy will get more attention as the year goes on.

How big do you expect a S to be? I think of them being 205-220ish. Granted he isn't over 6 ft but there have been a lot of guys under 6 ft that turned out great. When a kid wants to play for us that bad and he has 4* talent I want to see him in AU. Those kind of kids love AU from the start and work hard to make AU the best they can.

For Van Gorder to really want him, I expect him to be around 6'2" 200-215 lbs.

5'11" 195 sounds like a big corner. The guys can love AU all they want andthat's great, but Van Gorder knows more than the both of us combined about it and he said he wants big safeties. 5'11" 195 lbs is not a big safety. Plus, look at his picture. Looks to be lacking in the muscle department a little bit.
