Tigers fall short in double OT

  • But let's not kid ourselves, this is a game that wasn't supposed to be close and we took them into double overtime. I believe we will finally beat them when they come to Auburn in a few weeks. And I see us beginning to turn the corner. When Denson and Price get back we will pull a few out. And when next year's players get here, Auburn basketball will be unstoppable.

Poor free throw shooting, missed opportunities in the paint did the Tigers in. Don't really understand how we can be so bad from the free throw line, not just this year but over the last 4yrs. With about 5-6 minutes, we backed the ball out, slowed it down trying to run clock and lost all momentum we had on the offensive end. When Ark can double team your best shooter (Sullivan), and not even guard your point guard (Wallace) because he can't or won't shoot it makes it difficult. Even in a loss, I feel this team has shown some great improvement. Protect our house and we'll be okay!

Agree. FT shooting sunk us. Chubb was 9 of 10 against USCe, but terrible last night. Also, Frankie did not shoot well from the FT line. If those 2 had just hit half, they win. Chubb has lead hands, but works his tail off with his limited athletic ability. ADT needs to play more. He is more athletic and can jump much better than RC.

AU BB is gettting there. It seems like they are finally gel-ing. Can't wait to get Denson and Price back.

We were 12 point dogs in this game going in. Also, Bud Walton is a crazy place to play...one of my favorites. Much more intimidating than Rupp. When I was there, sitting on the bench, literally fans' knees were in the backs of our chairs. We all got heckled. It's nuts and a great atmosphere. The fact that we took it down to a double OT loss is a sign that this team has fight. Having Price in towards the end to help our 3 point shooting would have been helpful, but I said earlier in the year that the difference in this years team and the last two years is going to be the production we get off the bench. It's turning close losses into wins and blowouts into double OT games on the road. You can't deny this program is vastly improving.

We better pack the house Saturday!

  • It was a tough game to watch...it really looked like they ran out of gas near the end. I saw a lot of mental errors. I think they tried their best.
