Are you freakin kidding me.....Am I dreaming!!??....A DCoordinator that actually recognizes Auburn has gotten away from the fundamentals of defensive tackling...He actually recognizes that the focus has been , to much on schemes- X's and O's while forgetting fundamentals...He seems to understand how a defense needs to be based on fundamentals while changing your mindset of approaching / defending the new spread offenses...But based on fundamentals!!....Really....Really!!??
I'm with sparkey...I am SO EXCITED to actually "Hear" the new DC admit this and know we are going back to Fundamental of "breaking down , then wrapping up the ball carrier" and being taught how to pursue by changing the angles of pursuit to account for the faster players of today's offense....Am I ACTUALLY hearing "coaching techniques!" that will be taught?...What a novel approach..(sarcasm)...I can't wait to see an orange and blue uniform "blowing up" a ball carrier/reciever and bringing them to the ground with thier whole body....Instead of diving at thier feet with thier head down or trying to arm tackle out of control....Sounds like "classic Auburn Football Defense" may be returning to the Plains , in the Form of Coaching / Teaching from Coaches and Teachers of the game....Can't wait to see the results on the field!!.....It's about time
