Just remember he said some stuff about what he knows tacklers must do (Van Gorter knew the same stuff). What he didn't say is that he have the guys to actually do it.

I love EJ's comments about fundamentals and tackling. After he watches some game film he will be absolutely shocked at the poor effort, poor technique, poor angles this defense took in 2012. Hope he issues an ultimatum, if you ain't willing to give up your body to make that tackle- we don't need ya back in 2013 . Honestly, under CGC this defense has been absolutely pitiful in all aspects of defense ( from tackling to pass coverage) . Looking forward to big improvement in 2013.

Kind of ironic that the last time we played solid defense was when CGC was the DC. He left for Texas as the hottest DC in the country. Doesn't a defensive player learn how to tackle in pee wee and highschool football 'before' a shcolarship is offered?

How could everyone be so quiet about it all when we watched a similar mess develope in 2008? Coordinators won't be spending as much time coaching the ooaches and spend more time on watching them teach how to tackle. Did Auburn get the right man for the HC Job. Oh yes, they did.

Yea but we did have some great weeks of practice during 2012! LOL
